COVID-19 & County updates - June 30

Cases at 605, mask mandates in place

  • As of June 29, there have been 605 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cochise County since March 20. There are currently 322 active cases, with 277 people released from isolation. There have been six deaths to date.
  • Yesterday Governor Doug Ducey announced additional measures to help slow the spread of COVID-19, which includes prohibiting large gatherings and pausing the operation of bars, gyms, movie theaters, water parks and tubing rentals for 30 days. Additionally, the reopening of schools has been delayed to at least August 17. Read More on the latest measures.
  • The Cities of Sierra Vista, Douglas, and Bisbee are now requiring that face coverings be worn in public. The Board of Supervisors has not mandated masks, but strongly encourages they be used, especially where social distancing is not possible.
