Fast Pitch Grant Awards $32,312.00

The Fast Pitch grant supports an organization’s ability to operate efficiently and build capacity through education, such as conferences, webinars, speakers, or training curriculum for staff, board, or volunteers. The purchase of technology and software used to build the internal capacity of the nonprofit organization is also included in the Fast Pitch Grant.

  • Benson Unified School District: $2,500.00

    Multi-Tiered System of Supports Professional Development / Our district recognized a need for professional development to support our needs in the three tiers of behavior and academic intervention.  Once we have completed the three trainings required for each tier of support, we will be completing an MTSS pyramid specific to each school in our district.

  • Chabad of Sierra Vista: $850.00

    Clinical Awareness Training / Participate in an online training course.  The goal of this Clinical Awareness Training / Participate in an online training course.  The course is to be able to identify when individuals seeking help need more than what we are already doing.


  • Cochise County Health & Social Services: $2,447.00

    Empowerment Workshop / To secure a 3-hour educational/empowerment workshop to realign focus on achieving CCHSS's mission.

     

  • Echoing Hope Ranch: $2,500.00

    Echoing Hope Ranch Direct Program Staff Technology Upgrades / Funding will be used to purchase eight (8) tablet computers, carrying cases, charging cables, and software subscriptions to allow program staff to easily and seamlessly chart critical information relating to individuals served.

  • Fountain of Hope Counseling: $1,600.00

    2026 Strategic Growth and Expansion / Board retreat for increased development and strategic planning; EHR and QuickBooks subscription for new Independent Contractors with Fountain of Hope Counseling.



  • Friends of Cave Creek Canyon: $2,500.00

    Building Stewardship and Community: A New FoCCC Website / The scope and impact of the Friends of Cave Creek Canyon (FoCCC) has increased dramatically in recent years. Our website does not reflect our work and outreach. We will hire a contractor to design, build, host, and maintain a new secure website.


  • Friends of San Pedro River: $1,185.00

    Manager Workstation / The Manager’s workstation has reached its end of life. It can no longer accept operating system updates, making it susceptible to security risks and an enhanced risk of failure. The device, monitor, peripherals, and software need to be replaced.



  • Healthy Bisbee: $2,500.00

    Advanced Training for Behavioral Health Sciences and Support - Healthy Bisbee/Goar Park Lunches / If awarded, this grant will support Healthy Bisbee’s Director of Operations in receiving her Behavioral Health Sciences certificate, which provides training and education in behavioral health, social services, and therapeutic communication.

  • Love Muziq Operation 13:2: $2,500.00

    Point of Light Social Impact Conference 6/22/2026-6/25/2026 / This grant will be used to purchase conference tickets and flights for our 2 full-time directors to attend the Point of Light Social Impact seminar in Washington DC on 6/22-26/25/26 that includes 60 workshops to choose from and 6 learning labs.


  • Premier Alliances: $1,474.00

    Premier Alliances Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification / Our Assistant Project Manager (APM) will complete a Project Management Professional (PMP)® prep course and certification exam to strengthen leadership, coaching, budgeting, and project planning skills, to improve overall organizational practices.


  • Salvation Army: $2,500.00

    Board development with Strategic Planning / We have several new board members, and with the new officers comes a clear vision of board development alongside strategic planning for the next 5 years.


  • Senior Citizens of Patagonia: $500.00

    Patagonia Senior Center Office Cell Phone / Grant will be used to purchase a cell phone for our Senior Center office.

     

  • Sierra Vista Symphony: $1,498.00

    Repair or replace the wheelchair lift, with a maintenance agreement ensuring accessibility for elderly and disabled members and visitors.

  • Sky Island School of Nature and the Arts: $2,500.00

    Sky Island Professional Development / This project builds our organization through professional development for staff targeting ecological education and classroom leadership training. These trainings improve staff effectiveness and strengthen our school's mission/vision.


  • St Vincent de Paul Society, St. Andrew the Apostle Conference: $2,500.00

    Computer hardware and software upgrade / This grant will purchase four new desktop computers equipped with Microsoft-supported Windows 11 and Microsoft Office software. The improved systems will enhance daily administrative operations, reduce downtime, and data protection.

  • Volunteer Interfaith Caregiver Program: $1,058.00

    CPR Training & AZ Impact for Good Membership / This grant will be used to send up to 10 attendees (staff and volunteers) for CPR and First Aid Training, as well as covering the annual membership fee for AZ Impact for Good in order to provide access to numerous resources

  • Willcox Theater and Arts: $1,700.00

    WTA – Planning for New Beginnings and More / WTA will engage a qualified consultant for strategic planning and key staff training, guiding the board and staff as WTA moves into a new chapter.

The Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona funds grants up to $5,000 for a one year project.

The Legacy Foundation accepts applications that align with our mission to promote population health and community wellness throughout Southeast Arizona.

  • American Red Cross of Southern Arizona: $4,000

    “A Life Saving Legacy in Southeast Arizona” this project will strengthen targeted donor engagement efforts and support a blood drive in Cochise County.

  • Anchor House Christian Ministries: $5,000

    “Phase 1 of Housing Project” will support septic system planning and installation costs needed to begin converting a garage space into emergency housing for single mothers facing eviction and survivors of domestic abuse.

  • Benson Unified School District: $2,500

    “Building Independence: Life Skills for Every Learner” this project will support hands-on life skills programming that helps students with high needs build daily living, self-care, and basic job skills.

  • Chabad of Sierra Vista: $2,500

    “Holocaust Education Program” to support the keynote speaker for a community event bringing Holocaust survivor testimony, education, and awareness to Cochise County.

  • Cochise Community Development Corp./Berean Eagles: $2,346

    “Equipment for Football Team” this project will purchase a lineman chute and related training equipment designed to help athletes develop skills while reducing injury risks.

  • Community Food Pantry of Benson Arizona: $3,000

    “Food Supply and Electric Bill Support” will support food purchases and electricity costs that help maintain critical food storage and distribution services during a time of increased need.

  • Douglas ARC: $3,000

    “Douglas ARC Feeds Douglas, Bisbee and Elfrida 2026/2027” will help purchase food containers for approximately 125 weekday meals delivered to homebound residents, with meals prepared and delivered by adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

     


  • Family Health Care Amigos: $2,000

    “Administrative Transition” will support day labor costs related to transporting durable medical equipment, incontinence supplies, and furniture donations as the organization undergoes an administrative transition.

  • Healthy Bisbee Inc.: $2,000

    “Healthy Bisbee Lunches” will support food purchases and supplies for nutritious community meals served four days per week through Goar Park Lunches.

  • Helping Ourselves Pursue Enrichment, Inc. - HOPE, Inc.: $2,500

    “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Training and Technology Equipment” this project will purchase two EMDR light bars that support evidence-based trauma therapy and help clients process traumatic experiences without relying solely on extensive talk therapy sessions.

    “AZ Prep Academy Youth Program” support tournament fees, trophies, and supplies for youth creative arts, athletics, and life skills programming.

  • Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest: $4,000

    “LSS-SW Aging & Disability Services – Food Boxes for Older Adults and Individuals with Disabilities” this project will help provide nutritious food boxes in Cochise and eastern Santa Cruz counties.

     

  • Making Connections 4U: $5,000

    “Cochise Connections: Inspiring Young Storytellers” project to support a monthly bilingual magazine connecting Cochise County residents with local information, services, and community news while engaging student interns in journalism, photography, design, and community engagement.

  • Miracles of A Second Chance: $2,500

    “Women’s Recovery Housing and Life Skills Support Program” will provide recovery materials and essential supplies for women facing substance use and mental health challenges in residential recovery housing.


  • Mt. Graham Safe House: $4,000

    “Cochise Victim Services” project to support advocacy and shelter services for victims of domestic and sexual violence in northern Cochise County.

     

  • Patagonia Regional Times: $2,220

    “Students Create Multimedia News for Their Peers and the Community Based on 100 Years of Patagonia School History” a pilot project, helping youth ages 13–17 develop media literacy and journalism skills while creating local news content celebrating Patagonia Schools’ 100-year history.

  • Reap Goodness: $2,000

    “Sierra Vista Food Forest: Erosion Control and Land Stabilization” project to support erosion reduction at the Sierra Vista Food Forest, located in the Sulger subdivision, through the purchase of materials, landscape fabric, and tools.


  • Saint David Fire District: $2,750

    “Emergency Driver Training Equipment” a project to purchase emergency driver training equipment, allowing volunteer firefighters to complete local Emergency Vehicle Operator Course training and annual vehicle requalification while reducing travel time and keeping emergency vehicles available for response.

  • SARSEF: Southern AZ Research, Science & Engineering Foundation: $2,000

    “What Do We Wonder Cochise County” a project to bring a multi-session, hands-on STEM program to two Cochise County classrooms, helping students build critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific reasoning skills.

  • Serenity Club: $3,500

    “Men’s Room Renovation” this project will support plumbing fixture replacement and flooring improvements at its recovery clubhouse, improving sanitation, safety, and functionality for individuals attending recovery meetings.


  • Sierra Vista Symphony: $3,000

    “2027 Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra Children’s Concerts” this program will provide free, interactive symphonic concerts and music education for local fifth-grade students, introducing them to live music and the instruments in the symphony.


  • Sky Island Pickleball Club, Inc.: $2,500

    “Pickleball Court Fencing” a project to support a portion of fencing costs for new public pickleball courts being developed in partnership with the City of Sierra Vista, expanding access to low-impact recreation for community members of all ages.

  • St. Vincent de Paul – Douglas: $3,000

    “Protein and Produce Project,” helping purchase produce and protein for lunches served three times a week, weekly food bags for neighbors in need, and food bags for individuals experiencing homelessness.

  • Sunsites-Pearce Fire District: $1,426

    “Pierce the Fire” a project to purchase a firefighting piercing nozzle that helps firefighters more effectively suppress attic and garage fires while reducing damage to homes.

  • The Salvation Army: $3,000

    “Community Lunch Program” will support hot lunches for community residents every week, Monday through Friday, including holidays, helping provide nourishment and connection for individuals who may otherwise go without a warm meal.



  • The Sierra Vista Dream Center: $1,500

    “Mental Manifestation Self Care and Bloom Conference” to support speaker and therapist airfare for a two-day event focused on mental wellness, healing, empowerment, and personal growth.

  • Tooth BUDDS: $3,500

    “Mobile School-Based Preventive Oral Hygiene Program” will provide preventive oral hygiene education and services for underserved pre-K through sixth-grade children in Cochise and eastern Santa Cruz counties.


  • Volunteer Interfaith Caregiver Program: $2,500

    “Driving Access: Connecting Neighbors to Care and Community” this project will support RideScheduler software upgrades and outreach efforts that help connect underserved seniors with transportation to essential services.

  • Willcox Community Food Pantry: $3,000

    “Migrant Family Pre-School Nutritional Backpacks / Supplemental Nutrition for School Children K-12” this project will provide nutritional food supplements for Willcox School District students and preschool food backpacks for migrant families.

Responsive Grant Awards $74,750.95

    Providing uniform pants and body cameras for volunteer rangers.

  • Aviva Children’s Services: $2,000

    Delivering essential items such as clothing, school supplies, hygiene kits, cribs, and beds, along with therapeutic services for children within 72 hours of foster placement.

    Introducing students ages 11–15 to healthcare careers through hands-on simulations, hospital tours, and expert-led activities.

  • Better Bucks of Sierra Vista: $2,000

    Helping individuals overcome employment barriers such as work clothing, cell phones, and delays in first paychecks.

  • Bisbee Coalition for the Homeless : $3,000

    Replacing twin mattresses and covers in its shelter.

  • Boys and Girls Club of Bisbee: $3,000

    Funding tools to deliver hands-on learning, problem solving and teamwork skills for youth participants. 

     


  • Boys and Girls Club of Sierra Vista : $3,750

    Expanding STEM/STEAM programming with 3D printers, robotics, and crafting across multiple club locations.

  • Chabad of Sierra Vista : $2,500

    Bringing survivor testimonies to school-aged children, with the  potential for a free community event.

  • City of Benson : $4,000

    Offering weekly, dietitian-approved lunches, especially for seniors, and upgrading kitchen facilities to combat isolation and encourage social interaction.

  • Cochise Chess : $2,500

    Offering a safe, enriching environment to develop cognitive, STEM, and communication skills through chess at two school sites.


  • Cochise County Master Gardeners Association : $1,475

    Including public workshops, a seed library, school field trips, and garden support at Kartchner Caverns.

     

  • Community Church of Warren: $4,000

    Repair or replace the wheelchair lift, with a maintenance agreement ensuring accessibility for elderly and disabled members and visitors.

  • Construyendo Círculos de Paz : $2,000

    Rural Reach Project, reducing stigma by providing mental health talks, activities, and workshops in eastern Santa Cruz County. 

  • Douglas ARC : $3,000

    Which trains adults with developmental disabilities to prepare and deliver meals to homebound individuals. Funds will support the purchase of food containers for the meal delivery program.

     

  • Echoing Hope Ranch: $1,500

    Which trains individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to repurpose wood pallets into decorative items, building skills and offering a creative outlet.

  • MIKID / Mentally Ill Kids in Distress: $1,500

    Behavioral Health Supplies, Activities and Sports Equipment, supporting youth coping skills and social interaction.

    Offering online cooking classes, ingredients, and utensils for  low-income youth.

The Legacy Foundation offers Innovative Grants up to $50,000 (project not to exceed two years). These projects must meet at least one of the Innovative criteria contained within the grant guidelines.
